Embroidered Zekken
- This service is for a Zekken that fits the Jacket you are currently ordering (same color, same fabric). See the stand-alone Iaido Zekken product if you wish to order additional Zekken.

Usual positions:
- 1. Top (horizontal): for the Dojo name, in English or Japanese
- 2. Center (vertical): for your name, in Japanese
- 3. Bottom (horizontal): for your name, in English - Letter size: The letter size will be adjusted to fit at the biggest size possible depending on the contents requested. More letters requested, smaller the letter size.
- Total size: 10 cm x 15 cm.
- Embroidery area: about 8 cm x 13 cm.

Fixation (optional):
- Sewing: we will sew the Zekken at the most appropriate place for a standard build.
- Magic Tape: we will sew a magic tape on both the Zekken and the Jacket. This option allows you some margin for the precise placement. - Languages: You can select the language for each position at your convenience.

Fonts (style): Gyoshotai (cursive) or Kaishotai (Standard) for Japanese and Block or Cursive for English (cursive will always be lowercase and is therefore not possible for the center vertical position). Transcription is free. If you type your name in English or any other language and select a Japanese font, we will make the transcription in Japanese.
The transcription if free of charge, but feel free to attach a file if you already have your name or dojo name translated or if you already have a Zekken. Note that we do extensive research before transcribing names and that our transcription choice will not be discussed if no transcription/image has been provided. - Logo or flag embroideries must be discussed prior to your order. Jacket Option - Chest & Hips Cord
- A set of cords to secure the jacket during practice, at the level of the chest and/or hips.
- The chest cord (Mune Himo) at the upper part of the collar is especially recommended to women.
- The hips cord (Koshi Himo) is added on the inside and completely hidden, therefore appreciated by both, men and women.

- A set of Velcro tape to secure the jacket during practice, at the level of the chest and/or hips.
- This option was often requested by customers and is a modern take on of the classic chest cord.
- We still recommend the classic cord option, because it is more adaptable it keeps the jacket better in place.

Jacket Alteration - Sleeves Cut
- Adjust the fit by shortening the sleeves of your jacket.
- The length that is chosen in the selector is the length you want to shorten (cut off) on each sleeve. On average, customers demand a shortening of 6 to 12 cm. Refer to the size chart of each Dogi to know the precise length of the sleeves, but do not forget to take shrinkage into account (about 2 cm).
- This is a good option, if you like a larger cut (or an overall larger size) but still prefer shorter sleeves.

Seido Tenugui - Seishin Itto Nanigoto ka Narazaran
Made in Japan
This traditional Tenugui (Japanese hand towel) can be used as such in Kendo, Nippon Kempo or Jukendo but also as small towel to wipe off sweat during practice.
In the center is the logo of the Seido brand, the Kanji "Do" or "Michi", found in Aikido, Judo, Karatedo etc. which means "way".
Roughly translated as "where there is a will, there is a way", this well known proverb "Seishin Itto Nanigoto Ka Narazaran" means more precisely "when the mind is concentrated, nothing is impossible".
Please hand-wash in cold water before first use.

Dogi & Hakama Sashiko Bag

Material: 100% Unbleached Sashiko Cotton
Dimensions: 43 cm x 55 cm (rope length is about 195 cm in total).
Embroidery color: 18 colors to chose from (the same color applies for both the kanji main design and the name option).
Name option: Name embroidery at the bottom of the bag (see product pictures)
This cotton bag can fit a dogi, hakama, belt and towel. The ropes and port on the back are thick and comfortable. For optimal quality, Seido logo, Aikido calligraphy, "Ki" calligraphy and all other designs are not printed but embroidered. Made 100% from japanese made unbleached sashiko cotton, this product is eco friendly.
This product is a Seido original product designed by our team.
Here are all the designs we offer and their meaning:
- The Seido embroidery is based on the Seido label attached to all Seido equipments.
- The Aikido embroidery is based on a calligraphy found in the main dojo of Aikikai Hombu Dojo. It was created by Morihei Ueshiba O-Sensei when he was 80 years old, a period in his life when his calligraphy reached its peak. Note that the depth and extension of ideograms are a sign of an open mind.
- The "Ki' embroidery is based on the same calligraphy as the "Aikido embroidery" but only contains the second kanji "Ki".
- Judo - Gyoshotai (cursive font)
- Karatedo - Gyoshotai (cursive font)
- Kendo - Gyoshotai (cursive font)
- Iaido - Gyoshotai (cursive font)
- Jujutsu - Gyoshotai (cursive font)
- Zanshin - Gyoshotai (cursive font) : Remaining mind, or lingering mind.
- Mushin - Gyoshotai (cursive font) : No mind (mental state), or mind without mind.
- Heijoshin - Gyoshotai (cursive font) : Calm, imperturbable, relaxed heart/mind
- Shingitai - Gyoshotai (cursive font) : The unification of mind, skills and body.
- Takemusu Aiki - Gyoshotai (cursive font) : Aikido concept, the unity of martial techniques through the concept of Aiki.
Option "Name Embroidery":
Optionally, you can add your name as embroidery. It will be embroidered on the left of the bottom part (same high as the Seido label), with a font size of 2 cm by 2 cm.
Please note that due to our technical settings and to improve the overall balance, it is only possible to embroider either a first name, a last name or a word (1 word).

Tabi are Japanese socks, the white ones were and are still worn by women with traditional clothing like the Japanese kimono.
Classic pair of white Tabi, mainly worn with Setta/Geta. Nowadays they can also be worn for moving on the floor or in some martial arts on the tatami.
This model has a reinforced sole, covers the ankle, has 4 hooks to lace, and is available in sizes 23 to 29 cm, including half sizes.

The Juban or Hadagi is usually worn under traditional Kimono or sometimes under a Samue to avoid skin contact with materials that are not the most comfortable ones.
It is also often worn by Iaido, Kyudo and Kenjutsu practitioners under their jacket, for the same reasons.
100% cotton is definitely the best material for your skin, making this model extremely comfortable.
This model is designed as a Tshirt, which makes it easy to wear, and stay in place under a Dogi during intense practice. Most recommended for Iaido/Kenjutsu practice.
We especially recommend the Juban with the Tetron Iaido Jacket which is not very comfortable on the skin, because of the tetron fabric.
Also, give it a try if you feel a little cold in your Dojo, no matter what jacket model you wear.
Juban are unisex and can be worn by men and women equally.

Cotton Iaidogi 'Waraku' Jacket - White/Black

A single-layer jacket, 100% high-quality cotton with a refined Hishisashi (diamond) weaving. The fabric used for this model is the same as used for our Aikidogi KS200, but slightly thinner.
The Iaido jackets are often made of Tetron or polyester, prompting practitioners to wear a cotton "under-Gi" or a t-shirt to avoid the discomfort of synthetic fabric on the skin. However, this model is particularly comfortable and does not require this because of its natural fabric. It provides good sweat absorption, dries quickly and the hips cord keeps the jacket in place during practice. Ideal for training in hot weather!The "Okumi cut" refers to the shape of the jacket, or more precisely the collar, that ends at 2/3 of the height of the jacket. In other words, the last third features no collar. This is the classic cut as is found on traditional Kimono, allowing to wear a very long jacket under a Hakama without discomfort.
Available in black and white (size 6 available in black only).
This jacket comes with an additional piece of fabric.
