SWORD FAIR - 10% OFF on all Iaito & their accessories
October is here, autumn is slowly settling in Japan where many spider lilies flowers are blooming, marking the flow of seasons.
The Covid situation in Japan is getting better, after the very worrying peak of more than 25,000 cases a day at the end of August, the number dropped to a more reasonable 2500 cases/day, and more than 55% of the population is now fully vaccinated with an encouraging progression rate. We still hope for better days and, once again, please take care of yourself and of your loved ones.
We spent a great deal of time the past two months to update our Iaito catalog, as both Minosaka and Jisei added new options and parts to their catalog.
To celebrate, october will be the "Sword Fair" with a 10% discount on all Iaito, Iaito options, parts, and accessories!
Whether you're looking for an Instock Iaito or for a custom-made one, there are many possibilities available for you! We offer a lot of Sageo, Tsukaito, Menuki, Tsuba, Fuchi/Kashira, Kojiri, and many many more individual products. And with our in house developed customization module, you can easily customize your Iaito, choosing between hundreds of combinations of unique made-in-japan parts.
Please note that this discount will end on October 28th, at 3pm Japan Time, so be sure to don't miss it!
September report
- We are glad to announce that we added new sets of Fuchi/Kashira coming from the traditional Iaito workshop Jisei! Available in our custom collection Iaito or as stand-alone products, you can now choose from more than 50 different models coming from both Minosaka and Jisei workshops. Many of those models are available in different materials so don't forget to check them out!
- On the YouTube side, we just published a historical video about the Sakuradamon incident. Sakuradamon was the name of a major incident that changed the course of Japanese History on March 24, 1860, at the Edo Castle gate called "Sakurada". It set a course of events that eventually led to the Satsuma Rebellion and the disappearance of the Samurai, 150 years ago.
Back in 2018, we had the chance to interview Professor Honma Takao who shared with us his knowledge and feeling about this major historical event. Watch it now on our YouTube Channel.
That's it for this month, enjoy the discounts, and see you soon on SeidoShop.com!
