May is finally here! And as you know, this is the beginning of one of our favorite periods of the year here at Seido.
Japanese families have just celebrated the "Golden Week", a one-week holiday where relatives gather together and people travel all around the country.
Koinobori (carp-shaped windsocks) are hung everywhere to celebrate Children's Day (on the last day of the Golden Week), ravishing the eyes with multicolor scenery. As a symbol of power and energy, they are invigorating our spirits and give us a courageous mindset.
In the north of Japan, there are still some late-blooming cherry blossoms, as here in Tokyo we are already enjoying the beautiful purple, pink, and white hues of the Wisteria.

Finally (and mostly), the weather is getting warmer and sunnier, which means it's a great time to head to the Dojo and practice martial arts. The Dojo can get pretty crowded, but it's always exciting to see practitioners from all around the world, with different backgrounds and cultures, coming together to learn and grow.
